As soon as I finished the first paragraph, I was reminded of every dystopian and sci-fi story I've ever heard....1984, Anthem, TRON, etc. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I was immediately set up for some sort of action, and the book really failed to deliver. On one end its thought provoking, but I think its too short to really leave any sort of long-lasting impact on the reader. I think even an extra ten pages could have made the difference.
